About the song
The structure of the tune was written at home late at night. I didn't feel like sleeping so naturally, I was fooling around with a guitar. As I played the chords I heard a melody in my head but by the time I set everything up to record, it was dawn and I had a big day ahead of me. I needed to get to sleep.
A few weeks later I was at the studio alone and no clients were booked that night. I recorded the acoustic guitars and bass there, brought the tracks home and did the rest over the next few days.
The lead guitar needs to be cleaned up. The background guitar in the second verse and bridge are to be replaced with a string section.
