About the song
Many who live in a restless, materialistic society find themselves being carried away with the madness. There seems to be an endless drive for more..."He who dies with the most toys wins" is the mentality. But this often comes at great personal expense and can leave one feeling empty and dissatisfied. Jesus invites all who labor and are heavy laden to come and find rest in Him. (Matthew 11:28-30)
Lyrics
Run

verse 1:

He's runnin' down the road in the state of confusion
trying hard to make it to the top of the hill
This race is gettin old and he's certainly losin'
it doesn't seem to matter, tell me, is he runnin' still?

chorus:

Run boy, run
Watcha runnin' from?
Run boy, run
On, run!

verse 2:

He's old at 24 pursuin' dreams of illusion
placin' top priority on the dollar bill
His wife and kids are cryin' from neglect and abusin'
it doesn't seem to matter, tell me, is he runnin' still?
(chorus)

Bridge:

Come unto Me
All ye that labor
and are heavy laden
Come unto Me
All ye that labor
and I will give you rest
For My yoke is easy
And My burden is light
Come unto Me
All ye that labor
And are heavy laden

verse 3

He's gonna lose it all, it isn't so amusin'
he feels the emptiness inside, money couldn't fill
Messiah's love could heal him, he's refusin'
it doesn't seem to matter, tell me, is he runnin' still?
(chorus)
