Recorded on 4 track (Hence the 'wowing') then dumped onto pc to get the 'plug-in' treatment.

About the song
Whilst recording a mini video this morning (20/11/05) I snapped a string. I thought I didn't have a spare until I discovered a discarded packet of Rotosound Phosphor Bronze 13-56's under a pile of junk in my room. So putting the new set on I realised how dull the old set had sounded and thought i'd better get something recorded whilst these new strings sounded so good. My 4 track was handy along with my mic and a mic stand so away to go.
I recorded two tracks of guitar. One more percusive (panned leftwards) and one more strummed (panned rightwards) and the end result was a bit 'rough' to say the least. So downstairs I went to my pc to import the audio from the 4 track into the pc via Wavelab.
I normalised it to around -4db to give me a little room to play around with. oZoned it with the magic 'Acoustic guitar with the slaps pulled down' preset. Then compressed it a little, added reverb (small bright room, and huge cathedral for the last chord hit!) and finaly another trip through the normaliser to get it up to 0db. I wasn't happy with the volume so I tweaked it up to 1db through the master section vol control.
All in all a nice couple of hours work.
