A new experimental song, based on an old concept I resurrected. Along with The Lost People, this track is a taster of what my new album will be like.

About the song
Note the contradiction between the first and last verses. In the first, the singer asserts that 'the flowers remain the same but you change', but by the last, he has changed his mind on what is and isn't permanent: 'the flowers could never last but you did'.

This will be included on the new album I'm working on. Working titles I've used so far have included "Don't Be Lonely", "Songs About Other People" and "I Am Scared", but the final name is most likely to be "The Vaulted Sky", taken from the last line of a John Clare poem.
Lyrics
Those Georgian Flowers
Watching you as you watch them
The flowers remain the same
But you change

Those Georgian Flowers
Bloom for you when winter ends
Apart from all your friends
You're so strange

Those Georgian Flowers
Away beneath the trees
Nothing but the breeze
Keeps you hid

Those Georgian Flowers
Within the secrets of the past
The flowers could never last
But you did
