About the song
This song was inspired by a dear friend of mine going through really horrible times in her life. Her husband is a friend of mine as well and I wrote it for him, too. It's purpose and message is of hope for those going through painful circumstances in their lives. It references spiritual concepts such as the "blood of the lamb", which some may find quite odd, but just remember that it's symbolic of what Jesus Christ represents to all of mankind. He was innocent, just as is a little lamb. When he offered himself to be tortured and sacrificed on the cross, it was because He loved us. I hope that the listeners of this song will be open to what it's really saying. Life can be very difficult, but God is right there with you. Cast your worries of life to depths unseen. Let Him take control and make you whole.

Lyrics
[verse #1]
"How did it ever come to this?"
It is a thought you can't dismiss
As you think through the night
Yet long for sleep

I don't know how to ease the pain
It is a beast I cannot tame
But my God who is love
Has won this fight

[chorus]
Covered by the blood of the Lamb
The great I AM
You're there in His hands
Brush away the hurt that you know
Let God take control
And make you whole

[verse #2]
Now just stand upon the shore
Take in the breeze and hear the roar
Cast the worries of life
To depths unseen

At times you feel you've gone astray
The hope you had begins to fade
But remember the love
Of Christ endures

[chorus]

[instrumental bridge]

[repeat chorus]
