I was motivated to write this song by many things. I felt compelled to talk about someone who has had it rough. They have had it pretty bad and they refuse to believe in God. Thus the decaying angels part. This person has lost faith in God and doesn't believe He and His angels are watching over him. But he comes to a point in his life where he is in complete despair and wants to end his life.
At his lowest he cries out for Gods help, and God calls back.He then finds out God was calling him the whole time and had neve left him, but it was the boy who left God.
