Lyrics
They sorta' knew each other,
(they weren't exactly dating...)
But certain parties have a way of...accelerating things.

She looked him up a couple months after that.
He put on his responsibility hat and told her,
"End it. You don't wanna get fat."

She said, "True."
He said, "Come back in two days."
She did.

He put three hundered-dollar bills in her hand.
She drove away.
He didn't see her again 'till eight years later, just the other weekend and he had to ask, "Is all forgiven?"

She said, "Yeah...

Oh! By the way, she wants to meet ya.
Her name is Alicia, and she's really sweet.
A bundle of joy and elation and pure aggravation and everything in between.

Human as human can be, Alicia is."

The stupor settled into him from head to little toe and all that he could say was, "Where'd the Benjamins go?"

"I saw a mother with a baby." she said. "Something about the sight affected my head. I spent the money on a stroller instead and a full tank and a fountain drink and I prayed...and my heart heard,"

"There's someone there who can't wait to meet ya, her name is Alicia. You know who I mean.

Her life is as real as yours, and although it's in your hands, you know it belongs to Me. Precious as precious can be, Alicia is."

Still just as in the dark as eight years ago,
he mustered up the character to say, "Whoa."
She made a mental note to pray for his soul as she poured his refill and smiled God's grace and said,

"Remember now, she wants to meet ya, my little Alicia. You'll love her I know. Sometimes I hear her talking to Jesus, and I can't beleive it, the mercy He's shown to me.

Blessed as a blessing can be. Precious as precious can be, Alicia is."
