I was at a Bible study and we were praying kinda quietly. Out of nowhere, Pastor quoted the scripture "He is the potter and we are the clay". In the past, I had always pictured silly putty and hands molding it into a shape. This time as I thought about it, my mind saw a potters wheel and it all came together for me. The song came along about a week later as I was thinking about it again.

Here are some questions for you:

Have you ever seen a potters wheel being used? If so, you will note that the potter keeps the clay right in the middle.
Have you ever been on a child's playground merry-go-round? Notice how much easier it is to stay on when you sit in the middle?

Well, the closer we are to the center of God's will, the easier it is to stay on and then He can work with us. The only thing different is that it is OUR CHOICE to stay in the center of the potters wheel. He won't force us!

God says He's the potter...you are the clay;
He'll mold you in Christ's image...shape you day by day.
