Dark but uplifting metal song with an anthemic chorus

I must have scribbled at least a dozen drafts to this one before I even knew what I wanted to say. The music for this beast definitely preceded the lyrics, and was extremely difficult to improve upon. Overall, I like what I came up with. A longtime and forever band favorite.
