About the song
Song Notes - Last Page

Joey:
"Basically one of those moments where everything flowed. Riff came first. Dan's girlfriend bore first witness to the music's inception and gave enough encouragement to keep me writing more of it (Joey: Does that major/minor thing sound too weird? Monica: No. Joey: Cool.) From there, the lyrics were just things I had been wanting to write in a song (wanting to have my opinion heard, the allegory of the power of music, opportunity to use fade out/in vocally) Why Last Page? It was the last piece of paper that was in my printer before I showed it to the band that night. "

Lyrics - Last Page

I've waited for all my life
Is there anybody listening?
Is there anybody out......there

Hello, welcome, step inside and
Open up your eyes, your heart, your mind, your soul and let go...
Fade out fade in
to the sweet sounds of the harmonies the harmonies will set you free

I've waited...

I die, every now and then
I rise above the ashes and I soar into the sky
Just breathe, waking life
and all the radiance around you and the ambience of colors and shapes

I've wanted to cry out freedom
Is there anybody listening
Is there anybody out.....there
I'm tired of people dying
is there anybody listening
Is there anybody out there

Silence empty halls. and
not a sound that will caress us not a song for us to listen to
All rise. the time has come
for us to wake up to the music time to hear the waves and be alive...
