Brian:
"Joey and I wrote this I think in literally two days. The beginning and chorus for this song I actually wrote before I started jamming with Joey in an attempt to make a slow song for the ladies. However, when I showed it to him the first time, he was like..."Speed it up and lets go nuts." Before I knew it, Joey was screaming away at vocals on this thing and playing an awesome foo fighter's sounding riff for the verses. The "whoa whoa whoa's" at the end were inspired by Jimmy Eat World, please don't tell them."

Joey:
"Brian showed me this riff at about half to three quarters of the current tempo.....after repeating the word faster many times, I started doing a foo-fighters style riff and was improving a melody that had me thinking "Crap, why am I writing this high ass part for my voice?" Due to my playing a lot of Halo, I looked up the song title in the dictionary and discovered it to be a promise or an oath, from there, everything sort of fell into place."
