This song was originally concieved in my hospital bed. I was looking around at some of the other incumbents of the ward and decided that most of them were just waiting for God. On reflection, I suppose I too looked like that to some of them!
I had some trouble completing my original lyric, so I explained everything to lyricist John Coughlan, who came up with this lyric.
