I'm lyin' here watchin' the clouds roll by while the leaves come floatin’ down
I hear the rumble of a big ol’ truck headin’ south from my hometown
Everything's busy moving here and there, circlin’ all around
But I'm quite happy right where I am with my feet flat to the ground

There’s lots of folks livin’ like it’s two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning
There’s a nonstop world of deadlines
But much to their chagrin
I'm takin’ a long lazy break hangin’ outside the whirlwind

Sometimes you need to take a deep breath of sweet cool mountain air
Take a little break from the everyday runnin' and sit in your favorite chair
There’s always a million things to get done with hardly a minute to spare
Well, I hope you find time to clear your mind and be free without a care
