About the song
I worked with an 11 year old boy who molested and raped other children. The police had 110 counts on him. He seemed so young and innocent. Hence my reaction in this song.

Standing outside this gate
Waiting for the motorcade
All the hunters came to stare at you
Don’t know if I believe, all the things that I’ve read
I’ll reserve my thoughts except for one
You’re much younger than I thought you were
There’s a wolf in your eyes
In a moment you stole grace from her
Like killing butterflies
Before… they can fly
I read that you’ve appealed, your sentence is too high
I bet you sleep at night no matter what
Sure this child will heal from the scars you’ve left behind
She prays all the wolves have starved and died
Butterfly, let the warm wind take you high
Butterfly, those fragile butterflies
All the wolves, need to stop, killing butterflies…
How Do They All Survive?
