About the song
My co-writer and I were in Nashville at a showcase and all of a sudden here came a whole mess of pretty influential people and the room filled up. He said " Hey, that's somebody's baby". He meant the son of someone in the music business. Of course, always on the lookout for a new hook, that caught my attention and we started writing it as soon as the show was over.
