A rough demo. I recorded this song nine years ago. It was only the second song I had ever recorded.

About the song
The second song I ever recorded. Not flushed out, and a pretty embarassing one-take vocal. I would remix it, but I lost the original tracks, so if I ever pitch this song, I'll have to start from scratch to get something presentable. But it does get the point across.

I realize there's another song with this title, but mine is nothing like it at all, and titles can't be copyrighted.
Lyrics
My daddy was a preacher man,
And me and Daddy,
We never did see eye to eye.
He'd wave that Bible in his hand,
Preached hellfire and brimstone
Comin' down outta the sky.
One day I told him
He could go to hell,
He kicked me outta the house,
And that's just as well.
I guess you could say
That I broke those family ties.

CHORUS:
I was a wild go-gitter,
A barstool sitter,
A lady killer,
And a hard, hard hitter.
A mama-upsetter,
An attention getter.
Everybody thought my daddy
Taught me better.
A double-taker,
A trouble maker -
Son of a preacher man.

Vs 2:
So I became an outlaw,
Ridin' the range on a horse
Made of rubber and steel.
I really ain't that bad, y'all,
I just ain't gonna let nobody
Change the way I feel.
Two-hunnerd pounds of misery,
If you don't want trouble,
Don't mess with me.
I'm a solid steel sledgehammer,
Forged in a red-hot fire.

CHORUS:
I'm a wild go-gitter,
A barstool sitter,
A lady killer,
And a hard, hard hitter.
A mama-upsetter,
An attention getter.
Everybody thought my daddy
Taught me better.
A double-taker,
A trouble maker -
Son of a preacher man.
