About the song
This is an incredible new piece written by MIKE WARD of TEMORARY POWER (who provides the effects and backing guitars) and featuring Randy Powell (Bass) and Jason Lively (Drums).
When Mike originally asked if I'd like to contribute a solo, I was really psyched! Our former collaboration "Monument of The New King" from TEMPORARY POWER'S last album: THE TOWER MUST FALL, is among my favorite pieces and it was a joy to work with Mike. We both share the same love of guitars and of finding new and interesting ways to use them in our music.
When the backing tracks arrived, I was blown away. It was mellow but joyful and definitely impressed me. Though we hadn't discussed exactly what mood Mike was going for, I was so moved by the mood and flow of the song that I simply plugged in and began to play whatever and where ever the spirit moved me. This is the result. Though Mike and I would eventually do a alternate KILLER solo for this song (which will appear on the new TEMPORARY POWER album)both of us agreed that this spontaneous version should be posted for both TEMPORARY POWER and ANUBIS SPIRE fans alike. We hope you enjoy it!
