About the song
It asked, "what motivated you to write this song?"

I feel a responsibility for what I think because the arena of choice lives in my mind. What I do comes from what I think. It is there that I experience the consciousness of life; therefore, the need for me to interpret my brother's needs as my own. Every loving response I achieve identification with in my mind brings the remembrance of who I am closer to my awareness. So, for my own sake, I listen -- as if playing music with others. In order to create harmony and play with others, I first had to develop the art of listening with an open ear -- realizing the desire to complement the whole is a powerful expression of the individual. Love is infinitely the most powerful force in the universe -- ultimately, the only power in the universe. Fear is an illusion of the mind designed to conceal love. We are innocent in the sight of God. Whenever I fear it's because I'm trusting in the illusion of my own power, as if I'm (perceptibly) separate from God. We're all in the same big band. Fear is the opposite of love, yet what is all-encompassing can have no opposite. Fear is a symptom of the idea of having lost our own identity -- our Identity being a shared identity with each other and God. If we found our identity, we would be loving and happy. We would have no need of creating a self image. Our identity never left us, we just forgot who we are. Truly, who we are comes from God, trancends our own self image, and is a part of all that is. To learn this knowledge -- which is to experience connectedness beyond our perception -- we need only to desire it and listen intently within. Faith (putting beliefs into action), intelligent effort (expansion of consciousness through daily meditation), and openmindedness (God is bigger than our beliefs) are all tools of the attitude of this desire -- this desire to connect with everything. Why would I choose nothing over everything? Why would I choose an illusion of the mind that I'd been taught to believe is real by others who were taught to believe it was real? Fear? "Fear not." "I speak of things not of this world," but of something you can experience within yourself, now. "The Kingdom is within and at hand," meaning here and now.
Lyrics
I THINK OF YOU

I think of "Footprints" now and wonder in my head
one thought has been that of separation
upon this shadow illusion of creation
the time, the crowd, the fear, the doubt

Always has no direction

I think of You

Time a moving image of eternity
mind arena of choice
and if there is no journey and only to awake
then when, and how, pretend right now

Always has no direction - it must be now

I think of You

The dream the dreamer dreams

I think of You
I think of You
