I originally penned this tune under the title "Volatullaby" in late 2002, which, for some reason, seems like aeons ago. I had taken it off the site because I became increasingly dissatisfied with the instrumentation as time went by. The opportunity finally came for me to listen with a fresh ear (well, for this song, anyway) and I decided it was worth re-creating.

When I originally wrote it, I had the storyline in my head (or a video idea? whatever it takes, right?) of an eighteenth-century ball that basically turns from friendly to frenetic over the course of a single dance.
