I just wonder.

Stars

When I look at the stars I just feel small
As I try to make sense of it all

Makes me wonder about my place here
And those things that I hold dear

I know the stars are shiny and bright
But I note they only show at night

In terms of the universe what am i?
Nothing more than a blink of an eye

My only impact is on those near me
My value measured by my legacy

Time is indifferent to my place
To the challenges I may face

There is no God as far as I can see
I'm just looking for something to guide me

If I am aware then why must I go?
When I die what is it I will know?
