This song started with me messing around and finding a nice chord progression with the strings to go along with a nice, smooth drum track. The rest of the music flowed out of me. When I finished recording the music, I would push play, and just let it loop around for hours at a time while I laid on my back with my eyes closed just taking it in. It was in one of these times that my brothers cat came down to my studio and made
some noise that caught my attention. So I put it in the song. Yes, there is actually a musical line
in the chorus that I got from the cat. The lyrics came together after seeing a couple of stories on the news about child abuse.
