About the song
Just a little jam session and a song as a result. Wanted to see what mandolin and mountain dulcimer sounded like together. Sitting around with band members and family, and then everyone got in on the act.
Lyrics
Walking down the street to the Battered Mug,
Saw a woman there and I gave her a hug.
She reached out and grabbed me and she gave me a tug,
Saying, don’t point that thing at me.

I don’t want to drink alone now,
I don’t want to drink alone.

One pint, two pints, three pints, four.
Help me find the center door.
Five pints, six pints, seven and more,
Help me off the floor.

Told you I love you without saying a word,
That’s not what I said, but that’s what you heard.
I asked for a fifth and you gave me a third,
Saying, don’t point that thing at me.

Staggering out at the end of the night,
Stopped myself, something wasn’t right.
Seems that my wallet was a little bit light,
Don’t point that thing at me.

And I said,
I don’t want to drink alone now,
I don’t want to drink alone.

One pint, two pints, three pints, four.
Help me find the center door.
Five pints, six pints, seven and more,
Help me off the floor.
