About the song
Madman was written while I was in college. I was working out in the gym when a man came up and tried to flirt with me. It really annoyed me and I thought, "This guy could be a madman for all I know. Why would I want to talk to him?" I got in my car and immediately wrote this song.
Lyrics
Madman

Written by: Cara Young

Maybe you're a madman
Looking for a woman
Just want to get her
Somewhere alone

Maybe you're a good guy
Lookin' for a good girl
Wanna get married
And have a home

Chorus:
I don't care what you're looking for
I don't care what you need
I am not just a point to score
One more word and I am gonna leave

Maybe you're a sailor
Sailed across the ocean
Wanna make waves on every shore

Maybe you're a con-man
Looking for a good plan
Just want a partner to rob a store

(Chorus)

Bridge:
Just because I go out alone
Doesn't mean I'm looking for a man
An independent woman who is on her own
Is something I guess you don't understand

I don't want your money
Don't call me honey
I don't wanna hear the lines you learned from tv

I don't want your flowers
Don't wanna ride in your car
I don't wanna hear what you see in me

(Chorus)

Maybe you're a madman
I don't want a madman
