About the song
I was dog-sitting for my aunt one stormy February night. The poor little animal (her name was Magic) would NOT settle down, so I went to the piano and made up this insane little peppy song to try and cheer her up.
Lyrics
I don't believe in your filthy machine
a shot for each thought and you'll see what I mean
bind them together with sticky red tape
a coconut rose for your next hot blind date
hide underneath the big dirty flower
that expands at the rate of ten hundred miles an hour
and if these things you can't understand
don't blame me honey, I do what I can

I do what I can, I do what I can
don't blame me honey, I do what I can

walk in the park for a good long half hour
suck on my thumb until it turns sour
marzipan lake and alcohol tree
rusted old lock and forgotten oldkey
big puffy cloud and sunshiney ray
take an account of the next rainy day
take your next hint from the garbage-can man
but don't blame us, honey, we do what what we can
