A few thoughts on what I think real men are!

This was written in response to all the books and sayings about what it takes to be a real man. It also was inspired, by seeing what life is like for some single Dads.

They say: real men don't like to say "I love you"
they'd rather simply look you in the eye
Real men shake your hand to show they trust you
they're tough and not afraid to fight and die

Real men, they don't need to deal with babies
they'd rather sweat and work with wood and steel
Real men leave the housework to the ladies
they're cold and never show the way they feel

I say: real men they can raise their young
and real men do not need a gun
real men they have just begun
to prove how real they've been
I say: real men wouldn't tell a lie
and real men aren't afraid to cry
real men do not have to die
to prove that they're real men

They say: real men won't wear unmanly colors
afraid of how they'll look to other guys
real men always stand beside their brothers
to rat out on a friend would be unwise

Real men rule their homes like it's a castle
they wear the pants and keep their kids in line
Real men don't find shaving worth the hassle
they smell like real men almost all the time
