my brother, walker, wrote a summary of the book of job, chapter 10. he then wrote a summary of his summary. he then wrote a poem based on the second summary. this is that song.

my face falls and the tremors reverberate through

swimming in my own fears
i demand you show me how
i caused my own tears

what did i do? why must i be punished? and does it please you to curse me if i'm righteous?

but all of these questions are gettin me nowhere
so maybe i need
a rhetorical answer

i don't know why you'd need to be takin so long
just try me and we'll find out if i've gone wrong
though you know that i could be an innocent man
must i your creation suffer the wrath of your hand?

what did you do? creating me as i am? and does it please you to destroy what you have fashioned?
