About the song
this song was written for the late Dave William's of Drowning Pool. It is also written for us who have had a friend pass away and you wish everyone could have known him or her, remember everyone is somebody's friend....
I would also like to thank Steve Mark of Pedmar records for his keyboard work and backing vocals, it really brought this song together, thanks Steve.....

Lyrics
I never met you but you were my friend
I’m gonna miss ya, but I’ll see you again
You left so soon, but it’s not the end
We’ll always remember
Dave Williams

From the same city
Where we both have sinned
Chasing the same dream
Like we were twins

I looked up to you
Every now and then
On the radio
When you would call in

You made me believe
That it could be true
Local bands could make it too

All the hard work
It’s not just for grins
It’s for the people
Who become our fans!

Life is short
We don’t know the plan
Just keep tryi'n
To understand

Maybe some day
We’ll catch a glimpse
Your soul is ridi'n
Ridi'n on the wind

So come on in
When you’re blowi'n through
I’ll listen for the song
And I’ll know it’s you

I never met you but you were my friend
I’m gonna miss ya but I’ll see you again

I never met you but you were my friend
I’m gonna miss ya, but I’ll see you again
You left so soon, but it’s not the end
We’ll always remember, remember my friend
