About the song
It was C. Ray's birthday and I decided to write some music to one of his poems.
Lyrics
The Grande Ronde
C. Ray Smith

The Ronde travels for many a mile
From the mountains to the valley low
It skirts around the town of Troy
As it continues on its flow

The Ronde takes a zig zag course
On its way to meet the Snake
Rapids horse shoe bends and narrows
Are obstacles in its way

Instrumental:

Sometimes the Ronde is violent
And you hear it rant and roar
But mostly it is peaceful
And tinny ripples caress the shore

In the tranquil of the evening
When there’s solitude all around
There comes the music to your ears
It’s the rippling of the Ronde

The Ronde travels for many a mile
From the mountains to the valley low
It skirts around the town of Troy
As it continues on its flow
