About the song
a memorial for injured workers. It was written specifically for Saras uncle who got cancer because of an unsafe work environment and who along with his coworkers had to fight for compensation.
Lyrics
Worthless (dedicated to my uncle Ray, and all others injured on the job)

Im a simple man, my life doesnt reach too far
Told youll get ahead in if you only work hard
So I put in my time
Gave them everything they asked me for

But then 6 months ago, told Im losing my time
I gave them my life and theyre leaving me to die
For the first time in my life, Im asking why

Chorus:
Some lives are worth more than others,
Thats just the way it is I guess
But if some lives are worth more than others,
Tell me, why is mine worthless
Worth less

35 years and I dont know whats more wrong
That they wont help me now or that they knew it all along
I gave them my best and in return they treat me like
Im already gone

Chorus:
I may be just a number to you
But dont you know ordinary people
Get to have dreams too

Its too early for me to be nearing the end
Always dreaming of the day when my real life would begin
And now Im left wondering do I fight or do I give in
Chorus:
