Story behind The Gift You've Given Me
I was driving home from work one day kinda moping about how good everybody else was at so many things when the words of this poem came to me almost all at once. I had to drive home faster so I could write it down. I consider it an admonishment to use whatever gift you have and not waste time worrying about what other people can do. I brought the poem to Karen Doucette - it didn't even have a title - and the next time I saw her it sounded like this! Awesome!
