Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun and is commonly referred to as the Red Planet. The rocks, soil and sky have a red or pink hue. The distinct red color was observed by stargazers throughout history.

This song was sketched in Project5 using MIDI in the P-Seq. The midi sequences were imported into Sonar 3 as MIDI groove clips and sent to external synths for sound generation. The inrto was done with a Yamaha CS6x and a Motif 8 was used for the instruments (trumpet, cello, violin, french horns). The timpany drums were done with a sample in my EMU E6500 Ultra sampler. The backing percussion was also done using the EMU E6400 Ultra. The Albino soft synth was used for the synth parts.
