So often we laugh, goof around, and it looks like everything is great. But we all have the struggles, the hurts, and the worries that are at the front of our minds. Things none of us should have to deal with, but things all of us do (though no one else may know), and things we often think no one understands.

Of all the Biblical pictures of Jesus, aside from the Cross itself, I'm most thankful for Jesus in Gethsemane. That's perhaps when He was most like us--troubled, doubtful, looking for any easier way than the path that was before Him. And when I look at that portrait of Jesus, I realize it's true when Hebrews says, "We don't have a priest who's out of touch with our reality."

How wonderful it is to know He's been through the same things we deal with, and He'll never leave us to handle it on our own...
