We all know him. Some of us ARE him. Others are trying to get rid of him.

About the song
I was inspired to write this by my boyfriend's 16-year-old son. Thankfully, he left soon after.
Lyrics
He lies on the couch watching MTV
Housework is a thing he'll never try
Won't go to work or to school, you see
And all he wants to do is get high.

"Got a buzz?" calls his friend
"Do you know where we can go?"
And they invade some others' privacy
It's a means to an end
The most important thing, you know,
"I only do what feels good to me...

(Chorus)
"'Cause I'm the center of the universe
The world revolves around me
What's mine is mine and what is yours is, too
And I can take anything I see."

With no discrimination or evidence of taste
Not to mention drive or ambition
How can someone let their life go to waste?
There must be some mental attrition.

So the pack roams around
Trying to get a ride to town
'Cause boredom is the mortal enemy
As for changing his ways
From doing nothing every day--
"I can't decide what I want to be...

(Chorus)
I'm the center of the universe
The world revolves around me
You can't make me do anything
A big ol' spoiled brat is what I see
And I have no responsibility
And no one is important but me...
