This song is dedicated to a special, young woman named Nicole. She has been an inspiration to me and others with her faith, her bravery, her strength and her smile. She began dealing with liver cancer from as early an age 9 and struggles today as a young woman with a rare type of cancer called Ewings Sarcoma . Yet every time you see a picture of her, she is smiling either with her mouth or with her eyes. This song is also dedicated to her mother, Monica, who has taken care of her, stood by her and supported her as a single mother since this all started.

It takes a special faith in God to face these kinds of issues every day of your life and still smile at the people who love you and worry about you. It is my understanding that Nicole supports these folks as much as they support her.

I was inspired to write and record this song and dedicate it to Nicole and to all those who deal with tough times in their lives yet choose to try and make the best of it.
