Actually, it's a true story. The person I least expected to lose their job did awhile back and it was so shocking. Fortunately, they of course are fine now. Anyway, the whole idea got slightly warped and I had to imagine if it had happened to me because in some ways I didn't know how they would feel or act. Now, though the lyrics are feeling outdated because it was so long ago and now I get this weird country feel from it and its like ahhh! no! It's ok I can always pick up some boots, it'll be fun, right?
