A Difference in Kind
Rock out, fast-paced quick-changing with uptempo and poppy vocals and then linds rocks into the breakdown singing all pretty, then back to business.

About the song
'Twas a number of years ago actually (that being two) I was sitting in a class and thinking about this girl that I liked and just wrote down the lyrics, had kind of a melody in my head and then picked up the old guitar and it just kind of came together. It was the first song I wrote after my short-lived band that year broke up, nice because I wasn't sure if I still could write but I wrote that song so it was cool.
Lyrics
these days they say there's no space between the time
night falls; time stalls at the ringing of cat calls
she screams bad dreams, and the echoes chill with time
i fall at her call and voices carry me away
these fires burn out in time
but there's one thing that won't die:
sparks between us on their own
now we'll never be alone
time lies; she cries over the passing empty eyes
sweat pours; these whores hear the sobs and pass them by
embers remember the lonely voice beside the fire
sleep walks; night mocks all these curves in silhouette
these fires burn out in time
but there's one thing that won't die
sparks between us on their own
now we'll never be alone
and don't we all like happy endings?
inside, love does at the dropping of a glance
she sighs and asks why this was all left up to chance
these fires burn out in time
but there's one thing that won't die
sparks between us on their own
now we'll never be alone.
night falls; time stalls at the ringing of cat calls
she screams bad dreams, and the echoes chill with time
i fall at her call and voices carry me away
these fires burn out in time
but there's one thing that won't die:
sparks between us on their own
now we'll never be alone
time lies; she cries over the passing empty eyes
sweat pours; these whores hear the sobs and pass them by
embers remember the lonely voice beside the fire
sleep walks; night mocks all these curves in silhouette
these fires burn out in time
but there's one thing that won't die
sparks between us on their own
now we'll never be alone
and don't we all like happy endings?
inside, love does at the dropping of a glance
