In 2003 the world was warned of Iraq's 25000 litres of anthrax, 38000 litres of botulinum toxin, 5000 tonnes of sarin, mustard, and VX nerve agent, 30000 munitions capable of delivering chemical agents, several mobile biological weapons labs, and an advanced nuclear weapons development programme.

In 2004, we were reassured that "dozens of weapons of mass destruction related program activities" were identified. As of David Kay's resignation from his post as head of US Iraq Survey Group, no actual weapons of mass destruction have been found. According to Kay, it is highly unlikely that any will ever be found.
