About the song
The band Cherokee from Williamsburg, Va. did a demo in Nashville in '97 & needed a bass player to complete the project. Pierce was honored to be asked to work with the band on the two songs chosen to be recorded. I don't have much information as to who wrote the song. Dan Savage, the leader & singer of the group, has all the pertinent data on that. But these two songs are some of the best country ever written in my book. Give em a listen & you'll see what I mean.
