About the song
Just needed to write a song about Amanda to sort of "finish things off". I had already moved on but I had too many songs that said I hadn't. So I had to prove everyone wrong :D
Lyrics
Took a walk down the street where we used to live
To see what things have changed and what might have been
On the porch there’s a swing we never had
Their barbacueing in the backyard like we always planned

Everytime I’m all alone I feel like going home
But everytime I’m home, I feel so alone..oooh

At the little white house on 26th street
Where our hearts and our dreams had come to meet
Payed our rent, payed our dues, never missed an I Love You
Then it all just fell apart, just fell apart.

Ladada Ladada Ladada Ladadadada
Ladada Ladada Ladada Ladadadada

Listen to the train rolling through the backyard again
We had a place in time but I don’t know where or when
Keep my tongue tied up so I don’t say what I’ll regret
But you’re the worst best girl that I have ever met

Everytime I’m all alone I feel like going home
But everytime I’m home, I feel so alone..oooh

At the little white house on 26th street
Where our hearts and our dreams had come to meet
Payed our rent, payed our dues, never missed an I Love You
Then it all just fell apart, just fell apart.

Ladada Ladada Ladada Ladadadada
Ladada Ladada Ladada Ladadadada

There’s a “For Rent” sign standing in the front lawn
It’s the last sign that I need to tell you I am gone
Maybe you’ll drive by, see the sign and realize
You broke us down with half truths, ex’s, secrets and goodbyes

Anytime you feel alone and need to go back home
I hope it hurts when you realize you don’t have a home

At the little white house on 26th street
Where our hearts and our dreams had come to meet
Payed our rent, payed our dues, never missed an I Love You
Then it all just fell apart, just fell apart.

Ladada Ladada Ladada Ladadadada
Ladada Ladada Ladada Ladadadada

You got an apartment and roommate just off Texas
You probably told your friends that I am so worthless
Whatever floats your boat, tucks you in so you sleep at night
But I’m the only one who tried to fight and make things right

At the little white house on 26th street
Where our hearts and our dreams had come to meet
Payed our rent, payed our dues, never missed an I Love You
Then it all just fell apart, just fell apart.

Ladada Ladada Ladada Ladadadada
Ladada Ladada Ladada Ladadadada
