About the song
I wanted to write a Western theme, a'la Ennio Morricone. I wanted to add a touch of East Asia.
There was a Chinese painter whom I liked, Huang Shijun. I named it for her. As it turned out - there is very little Chinese ambience here. The mood, is exciting, dramatic, memorable. It's only one minute and 20 seconds long, (1:20).
I think it is my best composition.
It's definitely my best performance.
