When looking into the word of God the true self is reflected... Proverbs 27:19 - "As water reflects a face, so a man's heart reflects the man." I looked up and I saw that my reflection revealed only a shadow of what's inside me. Copyright by Thurane Aung Khin and Kim Philipps.

My Reflection

1. I looked down and I saw my reflection,
As I gazed in the eyes of a lonely man.
I looked up and I sought my protection,
As I gazed in the skies of a darkened day.

Bridge:

And as I sought for the reasons and answers,
All that I got was the third degree,
And I judged that the rains from a natural disaster,
Were a sign from the Lord that terrified me,
And it tried me.

2. I prayed forth and I felt the injection,
Enlighten my soul and bring joy to my heart.
I heard God and I knew His intentions,
Were to show me the truth and dispel the lies.

Bridge:

And as I saw this stranger before me,
The words of the Lord opened my eyes,
A woman to have, a woman to hold me,
Is the favor of God and the way to be wise,
And undisguised.

3. I looked up and I knew my reflection,
Revealed only a shadow of what's inside me...
