About the song
I wanted to write a tune in the vein of a Uriah Heep style song. Trying to get that trademark driving drum rhythm was the hardest for me as I am not an "accomplished" drummer ;-)
Lyrics
Verse 1
Look at the tears that's in my eyes
I'm tryin so hard not to show them
Honey don't leave me here to cry
I need somebody to console me

Chorus
Wait baby, wait a little longer
Stay baby, stay until I'm stronger
You can't see the love that's in my eyes
Wait baby, wait a little longer
Stay baby, stay until I'm stronger
Please don't leave me here alone to die

Verse 2
Now as I stand here in the rain
I'm tryin hard to hide my sorrow
Can hardly see through all this pain
I've just got to hold on till tomorrow

Repeat chorus
