While all songs are somewhat autobiographical in that they draw upon the
observations and experiences of the songwriter, the exact storyline in DEAR
SANTA is not about any one person or family. Rather this song is about an
often overlooked problem that is a reality for a substantial number of
people in our society. It is an attempt by us to illustrate the negative
impact of domestic violence, especially during the holidays, and especially
to its youngest victims.
