About the song
The chorus was written by Jerry and I a few years back when Jerry was asked to write a Nanaimoish song to help promote the summer games that were coming to town. Jerry wrote a different song but the chorus we wrote stuck with me. One day I was doing a gig for an event in town and the chorus came back to me again...

by Brian Hazelbower and Jerry Paquette

CHORUS
Nun nun nun naaa na Nanaimo
Nun nun nun naaa na Nanaimo
Nun nun nun naaa na Nanaimo
Nun nun nun naaa na Nanaimo
That Harbour City beat, …It’s coming from the streets of Nanaimo

Throw a tub into the water, put an engine on it
Race around the Island ring a bell and say you won it in Nanaimo
World Famous Nanaimo
There’s a chocolate covered treat and a Harbour City Beat in Nanaimo
Chorus

Chorus
There’s music in the Krallspace an dancin’ on the beach
In every pub n park you’ll feel the Harbour City Beat in Nanaimo
It’s alive in Nanaimo
Ya the Harbour City Beat it’s comin’ from the streets of Nanaimo
Chorus

the Harbour City Beat it’s comin’ from the streets
the Harbour City Beat ya it’s comin’ from the streets
the Harbour City Beat, it’s comin’ from the streets of Nanaimo…..
