About the song
This was a trip down memory lane, and a look at the lives of some of my good friends. It was written on a reflective day. I had a problem with some of the lyrics, so Bert and Chris helped out on the last verses. It made all the difference in the world.
Lyrics
Drinking Again
-- Hembree, Croswell & Serrano
There is no magic in my life once again
Sinking deeper than I've ever been
Lord I've traveled this way before
Don't believe I can make it to the shore
See dark reflections in my glass
As I wash away my past
When I can no longer feel the pain
You know I've been drinking again
Drinking again
Into the darkness I slip in
to the madness once again
I've been drinking
I've been drinking again
When my head begins to spin
when I've lost my only friends
I've been drinking
I've been drinking again
Pour my friend Jimi, a fifth down the drain.
Climbing higher than I've ever been.
Lord I've traveled this way before.
Do believe I can make it to the shore
See dark reflections in my past.
As I throw away my glass.
Strong enough to fight the pain,
I'm not the same. Drinking again.
Drinking again.
Repeat Chorus

Drinking again

I've been drinking again
