About the song
Angie was trying to hail a cab in the rain in downtown Chicago, to no avail. She came home all upset and grabbed her guitar and took it out on her guitar, and the result is this song. We were laughing about the scene in 'Drugstore Cowboy' where the old lady comes to the door to tell Matt Dillon there's a 'sinister man' on her roof, and the line ended up in the song.
