About the song
So I was walking in manhattan one day, and a bassline slipped into my head. I scribbled down the lyrics, and when I got home to my guitar, I realised i wasnt sure what the bassline had been, but instead dug up an old guitar fragment and reworked it.
It's all about enjoying life and being grounded in the earth and in reality despite the crazy world events that are happening around you. It's one of my earliest really upbeat songs, and just as its upbeat withour being sugary, its about being happy while still being honest about the state of affairs.
