About the song
A local dance teacher asked for some music written in unusual time signatures. The music for this song came out of that request, and is in 5/4 time. Originally it was an instrumental. But the upbeat & postive sound invited an uplifitng Biblical message to go with it. I experimented with several a few different lyric lines, until I found one that fit well.
Lyrics
v.1
Adam and Eve sort of ruined it for man.
But God had a secret alternate plan...

(chorus)
Christ paid the debt
But that was just half of it.
No one knew, it would be...
Christ in you, Christ in me.
God sent His son,
But there was still more to come...
Christ in you, Christ in me.

v.2
How man has tried to redeem his own soul.
But no way could man ever reach such a goal. So...

(chorus)

(bridge)
Safe in the mind of our God was a secret scheme.
Plans to restore even more than we'd ever dreamed.
Plans to invite man to join heavens family.

v.3
Now where you go, Christ goes there, too.
You can't lose him. He can't lose you.

(chorus)
