About the song
I was sitting in a hotel room in Boston - away from my wife and kids and this tune started playing in my head. I wanted to write a song to show just how in love I really am - and I think this song says it quite clearly. It took quite a while to record because the overdubs had to be "just right" - especially the bass and drums. This one is really one of my favorites.
Lyrics
Here I am alone
In a hotel room in God knows where
Staring at the phone
I can almost see you standing there
Your smile and your eyes
The green that burns down to my soul
It's then I realize
Without you, I'm not whole...

Chorus:

You're the sun and the moon and the stars to me
Our years together, were meant to be
And we'll grow old with love to spare
And I'll be there...

When we first fell
The love we buried deep inside
How was I to tell
The feelings were to strong to hide
And further down this road
I love you more each and every day
I feel I might explode
Getting closer in every way...

Chorus

Bridge "ooooh's"

Repeat first verse

Chorus
