Lyrics
Bits and Pieces (Mama Saved)
c.2004
By: Glen King & Diana Blair

1st. Verse:
I was cleaning out the attic,
Of the house where I grew up
When I came across a cardboard box
almost hidden in the dust,
Saw my name on the cover
In a hand I recognized,
Felt my heart begin pounding
When I took a look inside:

Chorus:
There were pieces, Bits and Pieces from my life Mama Saved
Just a few tiny treasures gathered from my childhood days,
I can’t believe how the memories
Came flooding back to me,
From the pieces, Bits and Pieces of my life Mama Saved.

2nd. verse:
Found a pair of bunny slippers
That I always used to wear
An ashtray that I made in school
And, my old stuffed teddy bear,
There were lots of baby pictures
Inside an envelope,
And, the birthday card I gave her
With a poem that I wrote:

Chorus:
THEY were pieces, Bits and Pieces from my life Mama Saved.......etc.

Bridge:
I guess I never realized
How much mama loved me, till today
I just wish that I could thank her
For the things she put away:

Chorus:
THEY were pieces, etc.
